Digital Currency - Economy of the Future?

Digital currencies are a hot topic. The students deal 
with the underlying idea of digital currency. Who 
benefits from the system and what conditions are 
necessary to ensure a participatory and inclusive 
currency model? The risks of this advancing 
digitalization, such as the high energy consumption of 
large servers and data security, are discussed at the 
same time. The social and political preconditions, 
opportunities and risks of digital means of payment will 
be discussed. Furthermore, the question will be 
addressed to what extent inequalities and criminality 
will be increased.
