University entrance qualification
You need a school-leaving certificate that entitles you to study at a university in your home country.
Check on anabin.kmk.org whether your certificate is recognized in Germany.
English skills (C1)
Proof of very good written and spoken English at level C1 (CEFR).
Accepted certificates: TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Cambridge English, Pearson PTE, TOEFL, telc, UNlcert, IGSCE or proof of education in one of the follwoing countries: Australia, lreland, Canada., New Zealand, USA, United Kingdom, South Africa.
German skills (A2)
Basic German at level A2 (CEFR) is required for administrative and everyday life in Germany.
Accepted eertificates: Goethe, telc, ÖSD, DTZ (g.a.s.t.).
Not required if you have a German university entrance qualification.

Required documents
- School-leaving certificate (incl. final grades) and translation into English or German
- If applicable: university transcript(s) and Bachelor’s certificate with translation
- Proof of English skills (C1)
- Proof of German skilIs (A2)
- Copy ot the passport (ID page)
- Payment of the uni-assist application fee

Deadlines
Application starts: 1 May 2026
Application deadline: 15 June 2026
To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to upload your documents to the uni-assist portal in time - not the date when uni-assist forwards them to our university.
