A big thank you to everyone who took part in the Digital Transformation Office's Digital Spring Cleaning in 2025!

🚀Secure.Digital.Enroute

With the valuable support of Prof. Dr. Karsten Krüger, Vice President for Academic Infrastructure (VPW), our Information Security Officer, Prof. Dr. Luigi Lo Iacono (ISB) and Martin Matthes, IT security operations employee, we jointly focused on important aspects of information and IT security and took decisive steps to strengthen digital security at JLU. More than 100 employees from the central administration, departments, and centers took part in this year's Digital Spring Cleaning.

Within 1.5 hours we achieved the following:
  • Together with the experts, we explored and set up the password manager KeePassXC.
  • The extensive range of E-learning courses on IT security was presented.
  • Our Life hack: Locking the screen with Windows + L has shown how easily and quickly devices can be secured.
  • One useful tip was the ability to report IT security incidents directly to help maintain our security.
  • We hope that you found the event as informative and useful as we did. Your positive feedback is very encouraging and shows that we are on the right track. Thank you once again for your active participation and commitment. Let's continue to work together for more information security!

A look back at the DTO's past Digital Spring Cleaning events

    ...

Since its inception in 2022, the Digital Transformation Office has been inviting people to get actively involved at the start of spring. In 2023, it was all about cleaning up the digital filing system, and on the 2024 action day, over 1,000 outdated weblinks were tracked down and removed together.

To offer you additional support, we have compiled a wealth of information here to help you take action yourself at any time.
