JLU and Rhön-Klinikum AG - "Digital Medicine, eHealth and Telemedicine"

The Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen, in cooperation with the RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, offers its medical students a new curriculum (SPC) "Digital Medicine, eHealth and Telemedicine". The interdisciplinary, facultative course should provide interested students with competences at the interface between computer science and medicine. The aim of the curriculum is to impart practical theoretical knowledge and current applications in the field of digital medicine to students. Since the amount of knowledge in medicine doubles every five years, computer-aided medical procedures are essential to find the optimal therapy for patients. The telemedical care over a spatial distance will be a regular form of care in the future.
