Regina Kreide ist Professorin für Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte an der Justus Liebig-Universität Gießen. Sie war Gastprofessorin an der New School for Social Research in New York, der Universidad Antioquia Medellin/Kolumbien, der UAM Iztapalapa, Mexico City, der University of Washington, Seattle und an der University of Auckland.
Seit 2014 ist sie eine der Sprecher_innen des Sonderforschungsbereichs „Dynamiken der Sicherheit“.

Regina Kreide is a professor of Political and Social Theory and the History of Ideas at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. She taught as a Visiting Professor at the New School for Social Research in New York, the Universidad de Antioquia Medellin, Colombia, at the UAM Iztapalapa, Mexico City, Mexico, and was a visiting professor at the University of Washington Seattle. She is one of the directors and one of the speakers of the Collaborative Research Center “Dynamics of Security”, financed by German Research Association (DFG). She also leads the study and lecturing program with the Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia), funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and a research project on Roma minorities in Europe (DFG).
She works on political and critical theory, especially on issues of global (in)justice, security and insecurity, democratic theory, minorities, gender, and housing and property issues.
