Charity Gabanthate Masole

Charity holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (2014). She also holds a Master of Science degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Egerton University in Kenya (2018) with a specialisation in Agricultural Policy Analysis from University of Pretoria (2016). She joined the International PhD Program for Agricultural Economics, Bioeconomy and Sustainable Food Systems (IPPAE) at Justus-Liebig University, Giessen in October 2022. She is currently with the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA) in the Environment, Agriculture and Natural Resources unit as a researcher – Agricultural Economist on study leave. BIDPA is an independent trust that focuses on promoting policy analysis through research and capacity building.

Her key research interests are on agricultural policy issues and sustainable development of the livestock sector to enhance livelihoods of farmers in Botswana.
