Denis Soldera

Denis Soldera joined the International PhD Program for Agriculture Economics, Bioeconomy, and Rural Development of JLU Gießen in October 2020. He holds a Master of Science degree in Rural Development from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (2018) and a Bachelor degree in Administration from the University of Caxias do Sul, Brazil (2014). He has professional experience with rural development projects, smallholder farms and public policies for family farming in Brazil. Denis also is a collaborative researcher at the Research Group in Agriculture, Food and Development Studies - GEPAD at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

His PhD research focuses on multi-scale evaluation of the sustainability of farming systems.  Other research interests include renewable energies analysis, socio-ecological systems and environmental economics.
