Home Ecology Collection

Throughout Europe, the subject of home ecology was found exclusively in Giessen. It is a field of home economics. Prof. Bernd Schneider created the home ecology teaching collection. It includes specimen and picture cards on the topic of housing formats with more than 4,000 photos. This extensive collection of material serves to understand the motivations of housing, to research them scientifically, and to improve current housing conditions. A glass slide collection from Prof. Jörg Bottler on the subject of the household (housing, nutrition, work teaching) and kitchen models, which go back to the professor of Private Household Economics, Rosemarie von Schweitzer, supplement this collection.
