Overview
The Master's programme Romance Studies will start in the winter semester 2020/21. The programme focusses on the individual philologies (German Studies, English Studies, Romance Studies, Slavic Studies/Russian Studies). By choosing the language of concentration, you will gain a deeper insight into the language, its cultural area and its literature.
The Master's programme aims to deepen the skills taught in the B.A. Romance Studies. The new practical courses are particularly future-oriented. In addition to project-based seminars, a practical module is firmly integrated into the curriculum. This can be completed both in Germany and abroad. You will acquire optimal linguistic and professional skills and will be prepared your future professional area (e.g. publishing houses, diplomatic service, advertising, media, film, etc.).

Language requirements
For the main subjects Hispanic Studies/Spanish and French Studies/French, a proof of language proficiency must be submitted before the start of the programme, at the latest when enrolling. Please read the relevant information on the required language skills carefully and, if necessary, contact the Central Student Advisory Service ZSB@uni-giessen.de.
