Rovshen Ishangulyyev

Rovshen Ishangulyyev joined JLU as a PhD candidate of the International PhD Program for Agricultural Economics, Bioeoconomy and Rural Development in the Department of Agricultural Policy and Market Research in October 2022. He holds a Master’s degree in Global Agricultural Economics from the Kangwon National University, South Korea (2019) and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Saint Petersburg State Agrarian University, Russia (2013). Prior to joining JLU, he worked as a dean of the faculty and lecturer at the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan. In addition, he has experience in various international development projects supported by GIZ, UNDP, FAO, and Erasmus+.      

His PhD research focuses on analyzing agricultural reforms, cotton sector restructuring and international trade integration.
