Topping-out ceremony for the new building for lung and infection research at the JLU

Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) receives another new research building. Work is progressing on the construction of the Center for Infection and Genomics of the Lung (CIGL). When completed, the building will have a usable floor space of around 1,800 m² and will be an important component of the biomedical science location with a focus on lung and infection research on the campus of natural and life sciences.

Of the estimated total cost of around € 25 million, approximately € 18.7 million is attributable to the pure construction costs and approximately € 6.4 million for equipping the new building. The country contributes to the total costs with around 11.5 million euros. Completion is scheduled for 2019.
