Portrait from Dec 07, 2017

When did you become a member of the GGL?

I was a member of the GGL from 2010 to 2014.

Where do you work and what is your position? Industry or university?

I am currently working as Postdoctoral researcher at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.

What section did you belong during your time at GGL?

I belonged to section 2 which was Infection and Immunity.

Did you enjoy being a member of the GGL and what do like the most?

I loved to be a member of the GGL. I had the chance to develop my all-round personality and not just be a good researcher, but also develop many soft skills like working at your body language, and presentation skills. I also got to learn the German language: the GGL funded our German courses. Overall, it was the best thing that happened to me as a graduate student.

What piece of advice would you like to give to our new members?

I would advise all the new members of the GGL to make the most of this opportunity while you have the chance. Sometimes when you have a lot of pressure, you may think that lectures would take a lot of time away from your research. However, in the end when you graduate from the GGL, you will remember all these experiences and I’m sure you will develop your research career to a much higher level.
