RNA in focus: Our International Conference inspires experts and early-career scientists

From September 14 to 16, our International Conference "Regulatory landscapes of RNA: From code to control" brought around 120 researchers to Giessen for three days of intensive scientific exchange.

The conference programme spanned from fundamental research to applications. Key topics included RNA biogenesis, the role of RNA in the development of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as RNA-based solutions for plant protection or the treatment of infections with multidrug-resistant bacteria.

Since a core mission of the RTG is the advancement of young scientists, leading experts in RNA biology shared the stage with early-career researchers presenting their projects. We were very happy - and proud - to host so many participants not only from Giessen, Marburg, Bad Nauheim and the Rhine-Main region, but also from all over Germany and even from abroad!

A big highlight was the poster session at the Palmenhaus of the Botanical Garden. This extraordinary setting, bright with sunlight, allowed for deep discussions and the formation of new connections, hopefully sparking more collaborative research projects in the future.

Thanks again to all presenters and participants, and to our many helping hands for making this conference such a gorgeous event - and to Palina Kot for designing our wonderful conference logo - see below!
