Sophos update issues on macOS

On macOS, there may be issues with updating the security software Sophos Endpoint. An outdated version of Sophos Endpoint can pose a significant risk. Please check after each major macOS update that the Sophos Updater applications still have full disk access.

You can quickly resolve the issue with just a few clicks by following these instructions:

  1. Click on the Apple logo at the top left.
  2. From the menu that opens, select System Preferences...
  3. Navigate to Privacy & Security in the list on the left.
  4. Then click on Full Disk Access in the list on the right.
  5. Now select the Sophos Updater from the list of programs.
  6. Enable the permission by moving the slider to the right.
  7. If needed, you may be asked to confirm with your password or authenticate via Touch ID.

After this, Sophos Endpoint should be able to update again.
