Delegating rights in CRIS

1.  Prerequisite for delegating your access rights in CRIS to another person

If you want to have another person assist you in entering your publications into CRIS, you can delegate your access rights to another CRIS user.

The prerequisite for delegating your access rights in CRIS is that you and the person to whom you would like to delegate access rights are registered in CRIS (see the guide on how to register). Before delegating rights, the other person must have logged into the system one time with his or her g-ID and network password. After that, you can delegate your access rights to him or her.

In order to access the current research system during beta testing and delegate access rights, you must be within the university network. In order to access the system externally, a connection via VPN is currently necessary.

In order to transfer access rights, follow these steps:

2. Logging in

Please log in. Here you can change the language settings if needed.

3.  Loading your profile settings

In order to load your profile settings, click on your role Researcher: [your name] and then on My Settings in the dark grey tab in the upper right corner.

The following window will open:

Under the header User delegation, click on New delegation. In the search field that opens, enter the name of the person to whom you are delegating access rights, and start the search by clicking on the magnifying glass icon.

To select the person, click on the plus sign in front of the name.

Please note:

  1. You are delegating all the access rights of your role to the other person.
  2. This does not expire. To retract the delegation, please click on Cancel.

If the search results for that person come up empty, this could be the reason:

It is possible that the user has not yet registered to use CRIS. If they have, perhaps they have not yet logged into the system. Only registered users that have logged in at least once can be found in the search.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact .

4. Logging out

After you session is done, please log out.
